Below is the Kilmore Seafood Festival 2010 Programme

Mon 5th to Thursday 8th- 10am daily:
CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP – Art, Drama, Story-making, Street Theatre. Do not miss these 4 days of fun packed activity with Micahel & Irene. For 7 to 15 year olds –€25.00each. Booking @ Stella Maris Centre on 9129922.

Wednesday 7th
10am. FESTIVAL BRIDGE morning in the Stella Maris Centre. €20 per person including a delicious lunch. Contact Eleanor on 087 2395363 for booking and information.

Thursday 8th
12.30 to 7.00pm:SEAFOOD PLATTERS
Served daily in the Stella Maris Centre. Delicious and fantastic value @ €10.00.
8.00pm:FESTIVAL PARADE
From the Hotel Saltees-promises to include plenty of colour, Street Theatre and Music.
8.30pm:Official OPENING of the Festival With Special Guests followed by Music with Lorraine Rankin.
9.00pm: REFRESHMENTS for all with music and chat on the cross weather permitting.
Everyone welcome – ADMISSON FREE!

Friday 10th:
10.30am to 4.30pm:IRISH FISHERMEN and their CATCH. Visit during the day at the top of the Pier, which will have a display of fresh fish landed and caught off the Irish Coast. A number of information talks on “the life of a fisherman” and the types of fish on display. Tasting will be available weather permitting.
12.30 To 7.30pm:SEAFOOD PLATTERS served daily in the Stella Maris Centre Delicious and fantastic value.
7.00pm:Children’s ART COMPETITION Prize giving in the Stella Maris Centre Followed by DISCO with DJ Liam Byrne until 8.45pm.9.00 pm

Festival ARTS EXHIBITION: Official opening with Cheese & Wine in Stella Maris Centre upstairs in the Loft. This exhibition gives you the opportunity to admire and/or buy some beautiful pieces of Art that have been created by a wealth of our local talented artists. The diverse mediums on display will include – Ceramics, Paintings,Printmaking, Stone Sculpture and Weaving.
9.15pm: WEXFORD CAMERA CLUB PHOTO EXHIBITION –large collection of photos will be on display daily.Tony Tang will open and judge the exhibition. All welcome.

Saturday 11th
10am to 1pm: Children’s ART WORKSHOP in Stella Maris Centre with Orla Bates. Join in the festival fun to create strange & unique beach bugs out of materials found, which include driftwood, shells and pebbles. For Ages 4-12yrs.€20 each/Family Discounts. Booking essential – Ring Orla 086 3768204.

2.00pm SOUTH EAST RADIO BROADCASTER coming live from Kilmore Quay. OPEN AIR STALLS on the Pier
2.30pm Children’s TEDDY BEARS PICNIC at the Playground
3pm to 5pm:CHILDREN’S FUN DAY on the Beach. Come and join in all the fun and games on the little Beach – FREE fun.
3.30pm:SEAFOOD PLATTER COMPETITION winner will be announced live on air.
6.30pm:OPEN ROAD RACE – 5km circuit - €2,000 prize fund. €10 per person. Presentation and in the Stella Maris Centre immediately after the race. All enquires and entries to Paddy on 087 9273545. www.kilmoreathletics.ie.
7.30pm:Talk on Ballyteige Bay with Billy Colfer in the Stella Maris Centre or Lifeboat House. Cheese & Wine served. Adm FREE.

Sunday 12th
10.30am: daily Festival ARTS EXHIBITION - information in the Stella Maris Centre
12.30 to 6.00pm SEAFOOD PLATTERS served daily in the Stella Maris Centre Delicious and fantastic value.
2.00pm: HARBOUR FAIR with open-air stalls on the Pier. Seafood Cocktails & Rolls available on the cross.
3.00pm: STRONGMAN Competition on the East Pier.
3.30pm CEILI MOR – Dancing at the Cross Roads with Fear an Ti – Sean O’Dubhghaill. Music – Waterford Ceili Band.
8.00pm FESTIVAL BINGO in the Stella Maris Centre.

SUMMER ART CAMP 12th to 15th July: 10am to 1pm Daily
Our fun filled art camp offers children aged 4yrs - 12years an exciting portfolio of summer art activities, which include painting, felting, construction, modeling, and lots more fun and games.

Memorial Garden Annual Remembrance Service.
Sunday 20th June 2010 @ 3.00pm in St Peter’s Church followed by a wreath laying service at the memorial garden.
